Important Notice
Our website can not accept newly reported claims. New claims must be reported to our office during regular business hours or reported directly to your insurance company. Any emails or messages transmitted through this website will not serve as proper notice of a loss or claim to Widerman & Co or to your insurance company.

A positive experience is what you expect from your company when you file a claim. One of the best ways to make sure your claim is processed quickly and efficiently is to have available all the information that the claims representative might need. Here is a list of items to consider:

Automobile Claim:

Date, location and time of accident
Police Report
Witness names, addresses, and phone numbers
Estimates for your car repair from a reputable body shop
Names of any injured parties


Property Claim:

Itemized list of all damaged property, including age, value and condition prior to loss
Pictures or videos of the damaged property
Estimates for repair work
Keep all damaged items for inspection by the claims representative
Original invoices/receipts for damaged or destroyed property
Police or Fire Report, if applicable
Make necessary emergency repairs to prevent further damage. Document the work done.


Workers Compensation Claim:

Employee's Name, Address, Social Security #, Date of Birth, Date of Hire
Salary information, and type of medical treatment sought
Witness(es) to injury
Current treatment status
Information regarding the party responsible for injury, if any
If fatality involved, file OSHA reports within eight hours
Name of person first notified of injury

Liability Claim:

Forward Summons and Complaints immediately to our office
Description of accident including location, date, and alleged wrongdoing
Police Report, if applicable
Witness names, addresses, phone numbers
Name and address of injured person or owner of damaged property
Estimates for repairs to damaged property
Injured person's treatment status
Photographs of incident/damage, if applicable

Important: If you receive a Summons & Complaint, letter of representation or request for information from an attorney or a Workers Compensation Claim Petition, please contact our Claims Manager immediately.
